Jiang Shiwen Leads Delegation to Bulgaria for "Hearts Connected Along the Silk Road" China-Bulgaria Civilian Friendship Exchange Event

Recently, a delegation from our college, led by Jiang Shiwen, Member of the College Party Committee and Director of the Publicity Department of the Party Committee, paid a friendly exchange visit to Bulgaria, accompanied by Zhang Jiangnan, Director of the Office of International Exchange and Cooperatio. The visit aimed to deepen international cooperation between our college and the Bulgarian education and industrial sectors, promote talent cultivation and technological innovation in the field of new energy vehicles (NEVs), and culminated in the successful signing ceremony for the "Bulgaria New Energy Vehicle Teaching and Training Center.

As a core achievement of the visit, our college and Bulauto Group formally signed the Letter of Intent for Cooperation on the Bulgaria New Energy Vehicle Teaching and Training Center, which will be jointly established by both parties. Relying on our college’s strengths in new energy vehicle technology, talent cultivation, and practical teaching, and in alignment with local industrial needs and development plans in Bulgaria, the center will be dedicated to building a high-level international cooperation platform integrating teaching, practical training, scientific research, and technology promotion. The center will be equipped with advanced NEV teaching equipment and training systems, providing systematic professional training and skills certification for local students, technicians, and enterprise employees.

At the signing ceremony, Jiang Shiwen stated, “The establishment of this center marks an important step in our college’s internationalization strategy and is also a concrete practice in responding to the Belt and Road Initiative and deepening educational cooperation between China and Central and Eastern European countries. Through this platform, we hope not only to share China’s advanced technologies and educational experience in the field of NEV, but also to promote knowledge sharing and innovative cooperation between China and Bulgaria in broader areas such as new energy and intelligent transportation, thereby making positive contributions to cultivating highly skilled professionals with a global vision.”

The head of Bulauto Group, the Bulgarian partner, warmly congratulated the establishment of the center and highly praised our college’s achievements in the field of NEV education. The head noted that the center will inject new momentum into the development of the NEV industry in Bulgaria and surrounding regions, effectively enhance the technical capabilities and competitiveness of local talent, and expressed anticipation for deeper and more diversified cooperation with our college in the future.

During the visit, the college delegation also met respectively with a number of institutions, including the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, the Embassy of Bulgaria in China, Bulauto Group, the Education for Everybody Foundation, Sofia University, Veliko Tarnovo University, and the University of National and World Economy. The two sides conducted in-depth and fruitful discussions on topics such as study abroad cooperation, faculty and student exchanges, and vocational education.

This successful visit and the establishment of the center have significantly enhanced our college’s influence in the fields of international vocational education and new energy vehicles. They have also laid a solid foundation for expanding our college’s educational cooperation network in Europe and promoting the international outreach of professional standards and quality educational resources, marking a new milestone in our college’s international exchange and cooperation efforts.
